Origins of Quiz Events

Quiz Events has grown out of the unprecedented success of our monthly pub film quiz, which is now entering its sixth year. We began producing You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat in 2005 and since then it has become something of a cult event for film fans across the capital (and beyond), with the London Evening Standard calling it the best pub quiz for film buffs.

Projected onto a big screen (the only way a quiz dedicated to movies should be shown), we now play to a full house every month, with guests queueing up hours in advance to ensure they get a seat. You can find out more about the pub film quiz at www.film-quiz.com.



While running the Bigger Boat quiz we were often asked about running other quizzes and private events and encouraged by this demand we successfully hosted a number of special events and charity fundraisers in the West End, with tickets for these events selling out in a matter of hours. We also established a number of other regular pub quiz nights across London.

Having proven to ourselves (and our satisfied customers) that we could successfully move outside the confines of our regular quiz theme and venue, it became clear that we were able to create a variety of evening that appealed to a much wider audience.



Not only was it clear that there was a large demand for the sorts of events we could deliver, but we quickly came to realise that this demand was not being well met by existing events companies - and so Quiz Events was born.
